Disclaimer

We cannot copy SOAP Note macros from one office to another directly. If you need SOAP Note macros from a different office, you must contact that office and follow the steps below to obtain and use their macros (you may want to provide the sharing office this article).

Steps for the Sharing Office

  1. Navigate to SOAP Macros:

    1. Go to Settings > Initial Setup > SOAP Macros.

    2. Open the macro you wish to share.

  2. Switch to Code View:

    1. Click "Code View" at the top left of the macro text output box.

  3. Copy the Macro Code:

    1. Copy the text displayed in the Code View.

  4. Send the Macro Code:

    1. Send the copied code view text to the requesting office.

Steps for the Receiving Office

  1. Prepare Your SOAP Macros:

    1. Go to Settings > Initial Setup > SOAP Macros.

    2. Ensure you have enabled custom macros and copied the macros from the system. This will opt you out of any changes your franchise makes to their base macro set.

  2. Paste the Macro Code:

    1. Click on the macro button you wish to populate.

    2. Paste the text received from the other office.

    3. Click "Code View" and then "Macro View" to convert the code into macros.

  3. Name the Macro:

    1. Give the macro an appropriate name.

  4. For List Type Macros:

    1. If the macro button is a "List" type, repeat the steps above for each individual list item macro button.

Following these steps will help you successfully import SOAP Note macros from another office.
