Overview
Scheduling appointments in ChiroHD is quick and efficient, with multiple features to help you manage your calendar effectively. This guide will walk you through creating, editing, rescheduling, and managing appointments, along with understanding key appointment icons and text reminder options.
How to Schedule an Appointment
Method 1: Click-to-Schedule
Navigate to the Calendar screen.
Click on the desired appointment time.
Select "New" to schedule an appointment.
If a patient is already pulled up on the left side (Patient Snapshot), clicking the calendar will default to that patient.
Method 2: Scheduling a New Patient
Click on an open time slot on the calendar.
Select "New Patient" and enter their information:
First & Last Name
Phone Number (Opt-in for text reminders)
Email Address (Sends automated welcome email)
Appointment Type & Subtype
Preferred Language (Sets English or Spanish text reminders)
Insurance Case Type (If applicable)
Patient Notes (Displays in the SOAP Note and Patient Profile)
Appointment Notes (Specific to this visit)
Click Save to schedule the appointment.
Editing & Managing Appointments
1. Drag & Drop to Reschedule
Simply drag an appointment to a different time slot.
2. Editing an Appointment
Click on the appointment → Select Edit Appointment.
Modify Appointment Type, Case Type, Subtype, or Notes.
3. Rescheduling an Appointment
Click on the appointment → Select Reschedule.
A green box appears, allowing you to select a new date/time.
Click the new time slot and confirm the reschedule.
4. Canceling or Deleting an Appointment
Cancel Appointment: Use this for legitimate cancellations.
Delete Appointment: Only use this if the appointment was added by mistake.
Understanding Appointment Icons
Icons provide quick insights into an appointment’s status:
Reminder Sent – Text reminder has been sent.
Confirmed – Patient confirmed their appointment.
Denied – Patient canceled via text.
Arrived – Patient has checked in.
Walk-In – Indicates a walk-in patient.
Treated – Patient is ready for checkout.
Completed – Appointment is finalized.
Missed – Patient did not show up.
