📄 Summary vs. Detail
Summary (PHI — requires appropriate access)
Shows appointment counts grouped by provider, appointment type, and status
Best for a high-level view of appointment volume and status distribution across the selected date range
Available as PDF or CSV
Detail (PHI — requires appropriate access)
Shows individual appointment records with patient-level information
Best for identifying specific patients associated with a given appointment status — for example, pulling a list of patients who no-showed in a specific period
Available as PDF or CSV
✅ Which to use: Start with Summary for totals and volume overview. Use Detail when you need to see which specific appointments or patients are behind the numbers.

New patient volume — Filter to a New Patient appointment type to see how many new patients came in during the selected period
Provider-specific review — Filter to a specific calendar to see only that provider's appointment activity
Schedule efficiency analysis — Run with all statuses selected to see how your scheduled appointments broke down between completed, no-showed, and cancelled — helps identify patterns in schedule utilization
❓ Common Questions
Can I select multiple appointment statuses at once? Yes — the Appointment Status filter is multi-select. Select as many statuses as you need and the report will organize the results accordingly.
Why does the report default to today's date? Both the start and end date default to today, making it easy to pull a quick daily summary without adjusting the date range. Change both dates to cover any custom window you need.
Why do my Appointments by Status totals not match what I see on the calendar? The report reflects appointments within the date range based on their recorded status in ChiroHD. If appointments were status-changed after the date range, or if there are calendar entries that are not tied to a patient record (such as blocked time or resource bookings), those may not appear the same way in the report as on the calendar. The appointment status at the time of the report run is what is captured.
Can I see appointment details for a specific patient? The Detail view shows individual appointment records with patient information, but it is not designed as a patient-level lookup tool. For a specific patient's appointment history, reviewing their profile directly is more efficient. Use the Detail view here when you need a structured list across multiple patients.
Can I filter to just one provider? Yes — use the Calendar filter to narrow results to a specific provider's calendar.
