Twilio Campaign Requirements

This article outlines the Twilio campaign registry requirements needed when you purchase and register a texting phone number.

Twilio Campaign Registry Requirements

⚠️ Plan ahead: If you plan to use ChiroHD's integrated texting service, we recommend starting this process approximately 30 days before your go-live date.

Overview

ChiroHD uses Twilio as its integrated texting provider. Before Twilio will approve your texting campaign for use, your office website must meet specific compliance requirements. This article outlines what you need to have in place before submitting for campaign registry approval.

What Twilio Requires

🚨 Twilio will review your website for the presence of two required items:

  1. A Privacy Policy page

  2. A Terms and Conditions (or Mobile Terms of Service) page

Without both of these pages publicly accessible on your website, your Twilio campaign will not be approved.

Important Notices

⚠️ Legal Disclaimer: The templates below are provided as a starting point only. You must consult with qualified legal professionals and/or your website administrator to ensure your website is fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations before publishing either document.

🚫 Sole Proprietorships: ChiroHD does not currently support Twilio campaign registration for offices registered as a sole proprietorship. Twilio discourages - and in many cases disallows - texting campaigns by agents registered as sole proprietors due to liability concerns.

✏️ Mobile Terms of Service Template

Use this as a reference when creating your office's Terms and Conditions / Mobile Terms of Service page. Tailor all bracketed fields to your specific program.

Per industry standards, your mobile terms of service must include: customer support contact information, complete opt-out instructions (displayed in bold), a recurring message disclosure (if applicable), a product description, and a program name. Additional requirements may apply for specific programs (e.g., sweepstakes or contests).

[Program Name]

  1. [Insert a brief description of the kinds of messages users can expect to receive when they opt in.]

  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [support email address or toll-free number].

  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  5. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive [message frequency]. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

  6. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy: [link to your Privacy Policy page]
