Fortis Migrations

This article will cover the migration process for offices using Fortis in their legacy EHR.

Pre Migration

  1. Please inform Fortis that you will be migrating to ChiroHD

  2. Fortis will prepare your new account,however, they will NOT send your new credentials until after the migration of data from your legacy EHR is complete.

Post Migration

  1. As soon as your migration is completed, please navigate to:
    ​Your Live ChiroHD Location -> Reporting -> Patient List -> ALL -> CSV
    Send this .CSV file to your Fortis case manager and let them know these are the updated patient IDs for your contact mapping.
    ​

  2. It will take approximately 7 days for Fortis to complete this process.
    ​

  3. 🚨 While Fortis is mapping, you can navigate to your Fortis Merchant Website and run payments through your Virtual Terminal.
    ​

  4. Fortis will email you when mapping is complete and supply you with your NEW Fortis Credentials. The credentials will need to be added to your ChiroHD account by navigating to:
    ​Your Live ChiroHD Location -> Settings - Initial Setup -> Integrations -> Merchant Services
    Please set your Payment Sync Start Date as your Go-Live Date.
    🎯 Any payments run directly through the Fortis website (during the mapping) will sync into ChiroHD.
    ​

  5. Perform a hard refresh on every computer.
    (Command+Shift+r on mac or control+F5 on windows).
    ​

  6. There is one final step to formally authorize and link each patient account. This step is only performed once per patient. Once complete, payment will be run with one simple click!

    1. To complete the final step in ChiroHD you will navigate to the patient profile

    2. Click on Fortis Contact
      ​

    3. If the patient already has a Fortis account - click on their name with the red exclamation mark. This will connect the patient with their already established Fortis account and load the Fortis portal. This procedure will only need to be completed once.

    4. If the patient is new, click on Create New Fortis Contact. This will link the patient and load the Fortis portal. This procedure will only need to be completed once.

    5. 🎯 Pro Tip: Let your schedule dictate the process and tackle patients physically coming into the office first.

  7. Moving forward, you can click on the Money Shortcut on the Patient Snapshot or the New Transaction button within the Patient Profile to quickly run a transaction!
