Understanding the Claim History Tab in the Insurance V2 Dashboard

Updated over 11 months ago

Introduction

The Claim History tab within ChiroHD's Insurance V2 Dashboard allows you to easily track and manage all insurance claims that have already been created.
This replaces the Manage Bills section from the old insurance dashboard.

How to Access Claim History

  1. Click Insurance from the top navigation bar.

  2. Select Claim History.

What You’ll See in Claim History

  • Date Range Filters:
Narrow down your search by selecting a start and end date.

  • Third-Party Payer Filter:
Quickly find claims associated with a specific insurance company or attorney.

  • Posting Date:
Displays the date the claim was created and posted.

  • Claim Details:
When you click into a claim, you can see:

    • All patients included on that claim

    • The services tied to each patient

    • Download options and claim actions

Available Actions in Claim History

When viewing a claim, you can:

Action

Description

Download Claim File

Download the electronic file if you need to manually upload it to your clearinghouse.

Send to Clearing House

(If integrated) Send the claim directly to your clearinghouse (Office Ally or Trizetto).

Mark All Items for Rebill

Rebuild all patients included on that bill. (Caution: if you batch billed many patients, it will mark everyone for rebill.)

Delete Claim

Delete the claim if it was created in error.

Print Preview

View the claim on a sample HCFA (CMS-1500) form layout for easy validation.

Key Differences from the Old Dashboard

  • In the old dashboard, you had to navigate through Manage Bills separately.

  • In Insurance V2, all previously created claims are centralized under Claim History for easier access and faster claim management.

Additional Tips

  • If you need to correct a single patient’s claim, you can also access the patient's Insurance History tab and manage the claim directly there.

  • However, if you need to review an entire batch billing, Claim History is the best place to manage those activities.

  • If your Claim History page appears empty (common in test offices), it will populate with real claim data once claims are created.

Why Claim History is Important

Quickly accessing and managing created claims is essential for:

  • Reprinting or resending claims

  • Rebuiling claims after EOB rejections

  • Correcting errors before resubmission

  • Ensuring faster payment cycles

Having everything centralized under Claim History simplifies your insurance billing process.
