In the realm of healthcare management, ensuring a smooth and efficient payment process is paramount. This article guides you through the steps of enabling payment types in ChiroHD, providing a seamless experience for both practitioners and patients.
Configuring Payment Types:
To begin the process, navigate to your system dashboard and access System Settings > Payment Types
Initially, you'll encounter a blank screen, but fear not – this is the starting point for customizing your payment types to align with your office's needs!
Enabling Payment Types:
Click on "Show Inactive" to reveal a list of available payment types.
Select the payment types that are relevant to your office.
Note that there might not be an exhaustive list initially. If a specific payment type you require is missing, such as a third-party financing company, reach out to support for assistance in adding it to your system.
Integrated Merchant Services:
For users employing integrated merchant services like Fortis or Cash Practice, there's no need to enable individual card types (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) separately. These details will automatically transfer from integrated merchant services.
Manually Enabling Payment Types:
If your office doesn't utilize an integrated merchant service, you may need to manually select the card type used in other merchant services (e.g., Visa, American Express).
Transaction Model:
The enabled payment types will appear in your transaction model when processing a payment for a patient.
When selecting a payment type during a transaction, only the active payment types will be visible. This ensures a streamlined and efficient payment process.
Collections Report:
The configured payment types will be reflected in your collections report.
This report provides a comprehensive overview of the various payment types processed in your office.
You can find the Collections Report within your Location under Reporting > All Reports (BETA) > Collections
Configuring payment types in ChiroHD is a crucial step in optimizing the financial aspects of your healthcare practice. By following the outlined steps and customizing your payment types, you can ensure a seamless and efficient transaction process, enhancing the overall experience for both practitioners and patients.
