If your office offers services like massage where tipping is customary, you'll need to account for tips in ChiroHD. Follow the steps below to streamline this process:
Navigate to your Patient Profile < New Transaction to open the transaction modal < click Tip.
Edit or customize the description field labeled tip.
For instance, you could specify the name of the provider receiving the tip.
Under the Provider field, the system will automatically populate the provider whose calendar the appointment was scheduled on. You can modify this if necessary.
Select the Provider the Tip is for from the Type dropdown menu.
Enter the Tip Amount.
Click on the "Payment" button to process the payment through your merchant service.
Note: Even if you're not using an integrated merchant service, click the payment button to record the transaction on the patient's ledger. Ensure to manually process the payment in your merchant service platform.
Pro Tip: You can enter a description for the payment by clicking into the description field labeled "Payment."
Similar to step 3, the Provider field will auto-populate based on the appointment schedule. Adjust if you need to allocate the payment to a different provider.
Specify the payment method.
Enter the Payment Amount.
Submit.
Reporting - Tips
Access this Tips Report by navigating to the Live Location > Reporting > All Reports (Beta) > Tips.
