Opting A Patient In And Out Of Texts
Updated over a month ago

In ChiroHD, patients have the flexibility to choose whether they receive text messages from the office. By default, when a patient is scheduled in ChiroHD, they are automatically opted into receiving texts. These messages encompass various types, including appointment reminders, missed appointment notifications, mass notifications, and texts triggered by specific events.

Opting Out of Texts:

Fully opting out of receiving texts is a two-step process:

  1. Patient Action: The patient must text "STOP" to the office's Twilio texting number. This action signals their intent to cease receiving text communications.

  2. Office Action: Subsequently, the office staff need to access the patient's profile within ChiroHD. Located at the top right-hand corner, they should select the drop-down menu and switch the setting to "Text Opt-Out."

Opting Back In to Texts:

If a patient who had previously opted out expresses a desire to receive texts again, the process is as follows:

  1. Patient Action: The patient needs to text "START" to the office's Twilio texting number, indicating their consent to resume receiving text messages.

  2. Office Action: Similarly, the office staff must navigate to the patient's profile and switch the setting to "Text Opt-In" from the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner.

By following these steps, patients can control their communication preferences effectively, ensuring they receive the necessary notifications while respecting their privacy and preferences.
