Accessing the Insurance Metrics Dashboard

To access the Insurance Metrics Dashboard:

  • Navigate to your live location within ChiroHD.

  • Go to Reporting > Reporting Dashboards > Insurance.

This dashboard offers a comprehensive view of your insurance activities, making it easier to manage and track claims and payments.


Understanding the Dashboard Metrics

The Insurance Metrics Dashboard includes several key metrics and features designed to help you stay on top of your insurance processes:

  • Last Batch Bill Date

    • Displays the last date a batched claim was created in ChiroHD.

    • Note: This date reflects the creation of the claim within ChiroHD and does not indicate whether the claim was sent to a clearinghouse or mailed.

  • Total Green Sheet Items

    • Represents services stuck in the validation process that cannot be billed until corrected.

    • This metric ensures all services are billed properly.

  • Date Range Selection

    • Allows you to select a predefined date range or specify a custom range to view the metrics.

  • Total Billed Amount

    • Shows the total amount billed within the selected date range, broken down into new and re-billed claims.

    • Includes percentage breakdowns and a graphical representation for easy analysis.

  • Total Claims

    • Indicates the number of claims created during the selected date range, distinguishing between new and re-billed claims.

  • Insurance Processed

    • Provides a breakdown of EOB postings from the date range, including:

      • EOB Payments: Payments from insurance companies or third-party payers from the EOB posting screen.

      • Co-pay or Co-insurance Allocations: Amounts allocated towards co-pays or co-insurance from the EOB posting screen.

      • Deductible Allocations: Amounts applied to the deductible from the EOB posting screen.

  • Payer Ranking

    • Displays the top five and bottom five third-party payers based on payments received (from posted EOBs).

    • Shows the average payment per visit and average days to pay for different payers, such as Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.

    • Note: These metrics are based on a rolling 12 month average, not by the date range selected.

  • CPT Code Ranking

    • Lists the top five and bottom five CPT codes based on payments received from EOB postings.

    • Note: These metrics are based on a rolling 12 month average, not by the date range selected.

  • Accounts Receivable Overview

    • Provides a general overview of your accounts receivable.

      • For more detailed information, visit Reporting > All Reports Beta > Accounts Receivable > we recommend running the detail version if you want all information versus summary.

    • General Insurance Outstanding

      • Displays outstanding amounts across general insurance payers, excluding Personal Injury (PI) and Workman's Comp cases, which are categorized separately.

    • Addressable Unbilled Items

      • This metric highlights unbilled services that are currently in your create claims queue and are ready to be processed through the billing process. It excludes services that cannot proceed due to specific conditions, such as:

        • The patient's profile has been inactivated.

        • The services are associated with an inactivated case.

        • The case has billing set to "suspended."

        These exclusions ensure that the metric only reflects items that are actionable and can be immediately addressed in the billing workflow.
