Overview

The Appointments Dashboard in ChiroHD provides a detailed view of the status of appointments, allowing users to track key metrics such as appointment completion rates, future scheduling, and patient flow. This guide walks you through how to access the dashboard, understand its key features, and use it to improve your office’s workflow and efficiency.

Accessing the Appointments Dashboard

To access the Appointments Dashboard:

1. Navigate to your live location.
2. Go to Reporting > Reporting Dashboards > Appointments.

Note: The dashboard reflects the current status of appointments at the time the report is generated.

Key Features of the Appointments Dashboard

  • Breakdown by Calendar

    • You can filter the dashboard by specific calendars to focus on the appointments for that calendar. However, the dashboard does not allow comparisons between different calendars simultaneously. To view data for another calendar, you will need to select it individually.

  • Quick Date Select or Date Range Selection

    • Use the Quick Date Select feature to choose a predefined date range or enter a custom date range using the start and end date fields.

  • Appointment Statistics

    • This section provides a breakdown of all appointments within the selected date range, categorized by their current status (e.g., scheduled, arrived, completed). The data reflects the status of appointments at the time the report is generated.

    • To view additional details, use the scroll bar to move left or right.

  • Future Appointments

    • The Future Appointments section gives a breakdown of upcoming appointments, organized by timeframes (e.g., 30 days, 60 days, etc.). It includes all future appointments, regardless of type.

  • Compliance Percentage by Appointment Type

    • This metric shows the percentage of scheduled appointments that have been completed within the selected date range. It focuses solely on the status of the appointment (i.e., whether it is completed) and does not account for additional factors like charges or SOAP notes.

    • If your office has a high number of incomplete appointments, this metric may highlight potential workflow issues or inefficiencies in completing appointments on time.

      • This article will walk you through Completing Appointments in ChiroHD.

  • Time from Arrival to Complete

    • This metric measures the time between a patient's check-in (whether manually arrived or via kiosk) and when the doctor completes or saves their SOAP note as a draft. It provides insight into how long a patient’s visit takes from start to finish.

    • Timely completion of SOAP notes on the same day as the appointment ensures that the data is accurate. Delays in note completion may result in inflated or inaccurate metrics.

Conclusion

The Appointments Dashboard is a valuable tool for monitoring the health and movement of appointments in your office. By reviewing key metrics like appointment completion rates, future scheduling, and time from arrival to completion, you can identify potential workflow issues and improve the efficiency of your office operations.
