Location has multiple active NPI Number for posting date
Reason for this Greensheet:
An office can have a Type 2 (or group/location) NPI number, and there are start and end dates associated with that number. You cannot have two Type 2 NPI numbers effective at the same time.
What to look for and where to look for it:
Log into the location > Settings > Office > Office info > Scroll to the Billing and Insurance section > Look at the bottom box that says “NPI Number (Type 2).
How to correct:
Edit the start and end dates of all Type 2 NPI numbers to reflect the date range that they were valid.
