This guide details the process for enabling payment types in ChiroHD, covering how to activate necessary payment options for your practice and how these settings affect payment collection within the system.
Configuring and Enabling Payment Types
Navigate to your System Dashboard, System Settings, Payment Types.
On first access, you'll see a blank screen.
Select Show Inactive.
You’ll now see a list of included payment types.
Check the boxes for the payment types you want to enable in your office.
Show Inactive
After enabling payment types, uncheck Show Inactive to only see the Payments that are enabled for your Office.
Credit Card Payment Types and Integrated Merchant Services
For offices using integrated merchant services such as Fortis or Cash Practice, enable only the corresponding integrated payment type (e.g., Fortis or Cash Practice).
Payment types such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express should be enabled only for offices that are not using an integrated merchant service.
Transaction Modal - Where Payment Types Will Show
When entering a payment for a patient, only the payment types you enabled will be available in the transaction modal.
Collections Report
The configured payment types will be reflected in your collections report providing a comprehensive overview of the various payment types processed in your office, but they must be enabled in system settings first.
You can find the Collections Report by navigating to your Live Location, Reporting and going into either Simple Reporting, Collections or All Reports Beta, Collections.
Note: If your office uses a payment type that is not currently listed, ChiroHD can add payment types for recognized financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, financing companies, and similar payment providers. Please contact Support for assistance with adding these payment options.
