To streamline your insurance billing workflow, ChiroHD allows integration with Clearinghouses. Here’s how to set up your Clearing House integration!
Accessing Clearinghouse Integration Settings
Log in to your ChiroHD account.
Navigate to Location Settings.
Click on Initial Setup.
Go to Integration and select Clearinghouse.
ChiroHD currently supports direct integrations with the following Clearinghouses:
Office Ally
TriZetto
Important Setup Requirement
Before configuring the integration, you must contact your Clearinghouse and inform them that you will be using ChiroHD as your EHR. Even if you have been using the same clearinghouse with a previous system, this step is necessary because setup steps on their end are required.
Note: Failing to notify the Clearinghouse may result in integration issues.
How Clearinghouse Integration Works
The integration setup in ChiroHD is designed to simplify uploading electronic claims to your Clearinghouse:
ChiroHD generates electronic claims in X12 format, which most Clearinghouses accept.
If you are using a Clearinghouse other than those directly integrated, we cannot guarantee compatibility with our X12 claim file, but you are welcome to try.
Manual Billing Option
The SFTP integration is NOT required in order to create claims in ChiroHD. You can still create claims in ChiroHD. However, you will have to manually send them.
Manually download the electronic claim file from ChiroHD.
Log into your Clearinghouse's website.
Upload the claim file and complete the claim processing.
Integration Setup Steps
Sender ID: Enter your Sender ID, provided by your Clearinghouse. If left blank, ChiroHD will use the EIN number.
SFTP Credentials: You must obtain your SFTP username and password from your Clearinghouse. These credentials are different from your website login information.
Important: Ensure you specifically request the SFTP credentials and not the regular website login details.
How to Use the SFTP Integration
Once the SFTP integration is set up:
When you create a claim in ChiroHD, a Send to Clearinghouse button will be available.
Clicking this button will upload the electronic claim file to your Clearinghouse.
You still need to log into your Clearinghouse's website to finalize processing the claim and send it to third-party payers.
Without SFTP Integration
If you don’t have the SFTP setup:
Download the electronic claim form from ChiroHD.
Save it to your computer.
Manually log into your Clearing House’s website, upload the file, and complete the claim process.
Viewing Claim History
In ChiroHD, you can view claim history for all claims created.
Click on a claim to expand it. If you have used the Send to Clearinghouse button, it will display Sent to Clearinghouse with a timestamp, confirming the upload.
Remember, you still need to process claims in the Clearinghouse.
